Underwear Shop
Insurance
When you
started your underwear shop business, you may not have had insurance
at the top of your priority list. That's perfectly
understandable, but if you haven't since taken out underwear shop
insurance then you may be in serious risk of financial disaster.
The problem is that life isn't certain and business life in
particular can be very risky.
You have a shop, stock, equipment, customers and possibly staff or
helpers. These things added together are a potential recipe for
accidents, losses and claims. If you don't have underwear shop
insurance in place then typically you'll have to meet the costs of
any such problems directly yourself out of your own financial
reserves - and that may spell the end of your business in some
circumstances.

Sadly such incidents are far from
unknown:
· the leak that ruins much of your stock;
· the customer who trips and falls while on your premises;
· the employee injured while performing their duties;
· the accident that leaves you unable to work for a period of time.
All of these things plus more can happen and the costs that arise as
a result could be staggeringly high. Any of the above problems that
involve claims against you and possible court action could also
generate substantial legal costs - even if you win.
This is
where business insurance can typically provide help to underwear
shop owners. It provides a range of policies and cover types giving
protection through things such as:
· premises insurance (business buildings insurance is often sold
separately);
· employers' liability insurance - this may be mandatory by law in
some situations even if your 'staff' are unpaid voluntary helpers;
· personal accident insurance - to try and ensure that your business
can continue if you are unable to work for a short period;
· public liability insurance - to help deal with the financial
consequences of a member of the public claiming against you for
injuries or losses they had suffered;
· product liability insurance - to cover situations where you have
received a claim as a result of a product you have sold.
If you've worked hard to get your business up-and-running, it would
be a pity to see it put at risk simply because of a moment's bad
luck. Of course your luck may hold forever but if it doesn't....
That's why underwear shop insurance may be something that's worth
thinking about and investigating in a little more detail.
